How fishing games work

Every shot costs credits. When a shot catches a target, you win that target’s multiple of the shot cost. Small fish are caught easily but pay small multiples; large fish, special creatures and bosses pay big multiples but usually take many shots.

Whether a shot catches a target is decided by the game’s random number generator, weighted by the target’s value. Firing more shots at a target does not make the next shot more likely to catch it, and a target that has “taken a lot of hits” is not due to fall.
